1 egg
1/2 tsp. dashi powder
1/3 cup hot water
1/4 cup Holly's low fat milk
1/4 tsp. mirin
1/4 tsp. Japanese soy sauce
Pinch of salt
1 shrimp, chopped
4 pcs. buta shimeji mushroom

Beat the egg. On a separate container,?dissolve dashi powder in hot water.?Add milk, mirin, soy sauce, salt, and beaten egg.? Mix thoroughly.??In a ramekin or small cup, place chopped shrimp on the bottom.? Pour the?egg mixture.? Top with 2 mushroom pieces. Cover with aluminium foil

Pour level 1 water on Beaba Babycook?. Put ramekin in the steam basket. Steam. When done, take out the ramekin from the steam basket, remove aluminium foil. Serve.

70 grams salmon fillet
1/4 broccoli
1/4 carrot, cubed
2 tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice, divided
2 slices orange
1 tbsp. butter
Italian seasoning

Season the salmon, broccoli, and carrots with salt, pepper, 1 tbsp. orange juice, and Italian seasoning. Put level 2 water on Beaba Babycook. Place the vegetables in the steam basket. Then put an orange slice. Add the salmon and top with another orange slice. Steam. Once done, put butter and 1 tbsp. orange juice. Plate and serve.

1 cup canned stewed tomatoes
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp anchovy
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. fresh oregano
1 tbsp. fresh basil
1-piece bay leaf
? cup black olives, sliced and pitted
? cup green olives, sliced and pitted
2 tsp capers
1 tbsp. white onions, chopped
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
Chicken breast fillet
Salt and pepper


Fresh parsley
Parmesan cheese, grated


Using the cooking jar, fill water up to Level 3. Pour it into the water reservoir.

Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Place into the steaming basket and start cooking cycle.

Once the chicken is cooked, set aside and keep warm. Save the cooking liquid for future use.

Using the cooking jar, fill water up to Level 3 again. Pour it into the water reservoir.

To prepare the puttanesca sauce, combine tomatoes, olives, capers, onions, garlic, bay leaf, basil, oregano, anchovy into the steaming basket. Start the cooking cycle.

Once the cooking cycle is done, discard the bay leaf. Transfer the rest of the tomato mixture into the cooking jar.

Add in olive oil, salt, pepper, and blend until a little chunky. Set aside.

Get the chicken and slice at a diagonal. Transfer to a serving dish.

Top the chicken with the puttanesca sauce. Garnish with parmeasan cheese and fresh parsley.


May also be served with halibut fillet or pasta, if desired.

To cook the pasta with the Babycook Rice-Pasta cooker:
Fill the water reservoir with level 3 water. Place pasta to the cooker and add ? cup and 2 tbsp water. Make sure the pasta is submerged. Replace the steaming basket with the cooker, and start the cooking cycle.

1 cup frozen peas
1 cup zucchini, cubed
? tbsp. butter
? tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp. white onion, chopped
1 clove garlic
1-piece bay leaf
? cup vegetable or chicken broth

Sour cream
Mint leaves, chopped


Using the cooking jar, fill water up to Level 3. Pour it into the water tank.
Place the peas, zucchini, onions, bay leaf, garlic, olive oil and butter into the steaming basket, and start the cooking cycle.

Once the cooking cycle is done, take out the bay leaf and discard. Transfer the remaining vegetables into the cooking jar with the cooking liquid. Add in the broth. Cover with mixing lid. Blend until desired consistency.

Pour the soup into a bowl and top with a dollop of sour cream and garnish with mint leaves.


If cooking for adults, you may season with salt and pepper accordingly, in Step 3.

1 cup beets, cubed
? cup canned chickpeas, peeled
3 tbsps. lemon juice
2 tbsps. tahini
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsps. extra virgin olive oil


Pine nuts, toasted
Sea salt
Extra virgin olive oil


Put level 3 water on the Beaba Babycook?. Place beets into the steaming basket and start cooking cycle. Once done, take out the steaming basket and beets, and set aside. Pour half of the cooking liquid out, and set aside.

Add the tahini and garlic into the remaining cooking liquid. Put the mixing lid and blend until smooth. Add in the beets, chickpeas, lemon juice and olive oil. Season with salt to taste. Put back the mixing lid and blend until smooth.

Transfer into a serving dish, top with pine nuts, olive oil and salt. Serve it with crackers, pita bread or vegetable sticks.]]>
